Chiron: the Healing Sign by Ms Rising Star Comment (0)

I was really inspired by reading a Twitter post today by the lovely @jadecraven. In her guest blog post, she opened her ‘wound'/soul to the world and I have to say I've rarely been as impressed as I was by her absolute bravery to share her struggle with depression and anxiety.

Her amazing story reminded me of Chiron in astrological terms. It's basically a wounded part of your psyche that you have to heal not only to lead a fully, happy life, but it also gives you the opportunity to share your struggle with the world and help others who are experiencing similar pain.

To give you a bit of background, astrologers often call Chiron, a planetoid orbiting the outer realms of our Solar System, the Wounded Healer. This celestial body takes its name from a Centaur from Greek mythology who, after being abandoned by his parents (one of whom was Zeus so Chiron was immortal) matured into a wise and giving healer and teacher.

During his life, he overcame personal issues and used the lessons learned to help and heal others. Examples of the Chironic influence are Christopher Reeve with his work toward a cure for paralysis and Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong's fundraising efforts for cancer research.

In short, the greatest pain or burden one bears (usually from childhood) and eventually overcomes is the source of great wisdom and healing power. Where Chiron is located in your chart is an indication of lessons you must learn and the lessons you may one day be able to teach.

It is so important to me that we all learn to harness our personal pain to help others that I'll look up your Chiron Sign free of charge. Simply email me on renee@risingstardesigns.com.au with your full birthday (including year), the time of your birth (including am or pm) and your birthplace (city and country) and I'll email the results to you.

Be well

Careers in the House by Ms Rising Star Comment (0)

Part of the reason why I love astrology is it can explain so many things. I remember working in an administrative team that was populated with Virgos. It was very well-organised, but everyone was also spending a lot of time gritting their teeth. Advertising agencies are notorious for having a bit of tension between the ‘suits' (client service) and the creatives/marketing team because the suits often make promises that the creatives/marketing team just cannot keep.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to alleviate some of these problems?

Well, guess what! The Mercury/Communication Sign is a great way to discover people's talents, challenges and also how they interact with others. The tenth house, the house of career and worldly power, is also a very important guide.

So, the next time your team is experiencing a bit of friction, or you wonder why you're having trouble dealing with a difficult client (or partner), you may well wish to look to the stars for some advice.

If your stargazing doesn't quite work out, and you'd like a professional to assist you with finding out what the stars reveal about you (or your employees), email me on renee@risingstardesigns.com.au and let me know your concerns so I can quote a price for your reading and we can get started.

Astrology and reducing the divorce rate by Ms Rising Star Comment (0)

I'm putting the finishing touches on a natal astrological report for a client and in reading my notes on Juno, I am seriously contemplating whether astrology can help reduce the divorce rate. Read on as I'll explain why.

So, what's Juno? In an astrological context, Juno gives a good indication of the kind of marriage partner that we need and will get. It is not the partner we think we want (those are ruled by Venus and Mars), but the one we need and actually wind up with. Venus and Mars show what we consider to be our ideal man or woman. The fifth house describes the type of people we tend to get involved with romantically. The seventh house tells us the kind of person our first marriage partner (if any) will be and the ninth house describes our second marriage partner (if any).

Also, get this, we are often involuntarily attracted to people whose horoscopes carry a strong emphasis of the sign in our seventh house! Well, it is the house of partnerships so I guess it isn't that surprising.

All of this information is eerily accurate for me and I truly believe it provides insights on why some people fall for exactly the wrong people.

An excellent book entitled, Men As Animals, that I read some time ago by a very talented author, Roger Moreau, also indicated an astrological link to the whys and heretofores of being attracted to men that are not suitable for us.

But in ourselves, that we are underlings.'
